I will be speaking at the Leipzig Book Fair, one of the largest book fairs in the world, as part of its official program introducing Japanese culture.

The talk focuses on Japanese aesthetics —
sensibilities that have been transmitted through sound,
and forms of beauty that existed before language.

Rather than theory or notation, I will explore a deeper layer of perception:
how aesthetic awareness has been embodied,

remembered, and shared through sound across generations.

I will be joined by the Cologne Gagaku Ensemble, and together we will reflect on how Japanese aesthetics resonate in a European context.
