Born in Boston, USA in 1979.
Composer, music producer, and Emmy-nominated arranger.
After studying Japanese and Chinese literature at Sophia University, he entered the Faculty of Music at Tokyo University of the Arts.
Studied music in general, including composition, music theory, music history, and electronic music, and also increased his knowledge of art, including video, painting, and design.
While still a university student, he began composing and producing music for visual images and spaces.
He has composed music for exhibitions at various museums, including the Tokyo Metropolitan Teien Art Museum, Centre Georges Pompidou, Mori Art Museum, Miraikan, Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum, 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa, and Shanghai Museum of Contemporary Art. He has also composed music for Square Enix, NHK, UNIQLO, HONDA, TOYOTA, BMW, NIKE, ASICS, and many other corporate contents while a student.
He has begun working as a music director and producer as well as composer and producer since around 2015.
Appointed as the music director of "Haruka", a projection mapping event for the reconstruction of Fukushima. Following Ryuichi Sakamoto and Yoshihide Otomo, he has been conducting since 2016.
In 2018, he founded Drifter Inc.
In addition to pursuing a new role for music in society, he researches, produces, and presents music that has never been seen before in Japan through the creation of Gagaku music and other projects on a daily basis.
In 2019, he started his artist career in earnest. He joined the Oorutaichi Special Band as arranger and player (piano, synthesizer, gong).
In 2021, he started the gagaku group "Domburako" with Oorutaichi.
In the same year, he released his first solo single, "Drifters" for which he not only composed the music but also sang.
Also in 2021, he began working as a producer and art director at Drifter Inc.
In 2023, he started a new project called ``Silence'' that fuses Gagaku and Western music.
In 2024, he participated as a general arranger for Japanese traditional music for the Disney-produced Hollywood drama Shogun (composed by Atticus Ross, Leopold Ross, and Nick Chuba), contributing to the series' win for the Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series. The soundtrack was also nominated for both Outstanding Music Composition and Main Title Theme Music at the Emmy Awards..
Every day, he thinks about how best to pass on what Japan has cultivated over the years, not only in music, but also in fine arts such as folk crafts and traditional crafts, and in business management.

While still in school, she began her two-dimensional figurative activities derived from hand-drawn illustrations and began working in the fields of advertising and fashion.
While continuing her art direction, design, and illustration activities after graduation, Her thoughts on her work is to incorporate into her work her daily reflections on life and death of all things, including humans, and what true happiness is, which is what prompted her to go from design to art anatomy.
She is also active as a musician as well as an artist.
In 2019, she and Taro Ishida founded Drifter, Inc. and also began her career as a business manager.
